Veridium + InifiniteEarth

VERIDIUM’s first Conservation Land Banking partner is InfiniteEARTH, which developed and manages The Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve. Rimba Raya, an area almost the size of Singapore, is comprised of 64,500 hectares of High Conservation Value (HCV) forest on the island of Borneo in Indonesia. As one of the most endangered ecosystems on Earth, these bio-diverse lowland peat swamp forests are home to hundreds of threatened and endangered species on the RED Cites List and home to the last high density populations of wild orangutans left in the world.

Triple Gold Quality Is The Key

For the initial token sale, each TGR is backed by REDD+ Environmental Mitigation Credits supplied by InfiniteEARTH.

InfiniteEARTH is the world’s leading provider of REDD+ Environmental Mitigation Credits. In 2008, EnVision Corporation – an incubator of sustainable technologies – provided seed funding for InfiniteEARTH to create a “for profit conservation model” for the development of Natural Capital as a new asset class.

InfiniteEARTH is trusted to provide Environmental Mitigation (REDD+) credits and to create tailored ofset program solutions by industry leaders worldwide, including:

REDD+ Is InfiniteEARTH’s Success Story

InfiniteEARTH developed the world’s first REDD+ accounting methodology and is the original project developer of the Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve, the first REDD+ project to be validated under the VCS/CCB standards and the first REDD+ project ever to be awarded the CCB Triple Gold Status.

The Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve, InfiniteEARTH’s flagship project area, is host to 122 species of mammals, 300 species of birds, and 180 (identified) species of plants and trees. The biodiversity reserve forms a natural barrier between the ever-encroaching bulldozers of the palm oil industry and the Tanjung Puting National Park, home to Orangutan Foundation International, which protects one of the last remaining high-density populations of wild orangutans on Earth.

This Conservation Land Bank protects of over 640 square kilometers (250 square miles) of High Conservation Value (HCV) tropical peat forest, with over 350 million tonnes of carbon stored in their peat domes.

Rimba Raya’s community development programs are designed to meet all 17 of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, which seek to address the root causes of poverty and provide a universal development model that works for all people.

The measurable contribution to emission avoidance provided by the Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve is the equivalent of removing one million cars from the world’s highways every year for the next 30 years.

Since 2008, InfiniteEARTH has been the world’s leading provider of REDD+ Environmental Mitigation Credits. InfiniteEARTH developed the world’s first independently-verified REDD+ accounting methodology for quantifying green gas emissions from the conversion of forest to industrial agriculture.
